Thread: Do you think City would do something like this?

Do you think City would do something like this?

I suppose the question is irrelevant while we give our rabbits in the headlights impersonation every time we play the jacks, but I hope, and believe, we wouldn’t.

I know it plays well with their fans but for the club itself to display such obsession with the team down the road continues to leave me baffled. It surely has a short shelf life if they don’t make progress in their other 44 games each year.

    No we wouldn't. Classless.

I find it embarrassing and cringeworthy. Do other rival clubs act like this?

    They get it, we don’t.

So we’re ignoring their total dominance in recent seasons are we?

Get what? This is cringeworthy, I' be embarrassed if Cardiff did something similar after winning, this is the kind of thing a teenager puts together not the actual football club.

No, but for this game I don’t think the club could have done anything more than they could have. They managed to attract 28,252 fans, publicised the game well, it’s just a shame how the last minute went.

No, I don't think we would.
Last year, didn't they launch their new kit with numbers relating to the dates and scores from both game - we wouldn't do that either.

    That's pathetic

A professional football club engaging in playground nonsense ?

Fans do stuff like that , not football clubs

I’d be really embarrassed if we did that.
Fan sites yes, people on social media yes, it would be funny among our fans.
    Not the club though.
If I were in their fans shoes I’d think the club were trying to distract me from another nothing season

I know we would be laughing at them if we had won but this is another step beyond from them. It’s abit obsessive and embarrassing. Enjoy the victory but don’t get too carried away like! I mean they literally only just scrape a win against us but anyone would think they beat us 5-0! We are really dire so the fact they only just beat us and we’re lucky also shows that they are very poor aswell.

I’m old enough to have been in on the fag end of the old amateur ethos about being sportsmen and gentlemen and managing to lose with good grace and style- Swansea are proof of how much things have changed, they are showing that they incapable of winning with good grace and style.

They changed their away kit to orange the season after we lost to Blackpool in the playoff final , how weird is that.

It was done by the club, thereby representing the views of their manager, board and players. It is unprofessional and at the very least, inflammatory to some fans. It is possibly also against EFL guidelines. They have been warned on a number of occasions previously not to engage in this kind of activity (e.g the ‘swim away’ gestures their manager and players made last season). If you cant see anything wrong in any of that then its says quite a lot about you.

Don’t their players celebrate with a “swim away” as well and when you actually know what actually happened ( that night) I’m amazed it’s got this far.
