Spurs player pulls back a Brighton forward in the penalty box in last few minutes .....clear as day .....no penalty
Was the idiot watching a porn film instead of the penalty incident ?
What's the point of it ?
VAR , not porn

I used to be quite anti VAR but I’ve been proven wrong and I do like it. Don’t like the pause after a goal but it’s nice to generally speaking not be debating an incident that wrongly influenced a games result.
Where it’s being used and the decision is still wrong though, what a joke that makes of it
Ive just seen West Hams goal. Clear hand ball. Dont know how the officials didnt spot it and I presume VAR couldnt rule it out. Just dont get it.
Just watched MOTD, what a terrible day for VAR lovers.
The ref and VAR officials at the Spurs game must all be either blind or Spurs fans
Don’t mind it for offside where it’s black and white (or green and red I suppose) but it’s clear for anything else it’s just replacing one opinion with another and just as fallible as a referee making a decision ever was.
I’d keep offsides and maybe a few other things (ball out of play, serious foul play that the referee missed). But for the rest I’m starting to wonder what the point is and would happily see it binned off
Agree.
It often just gives more people an opinion on an incident which delays, delays, delays.
It's hard to gauge the extent of which the refs judgement is altered by the knowledge there is a safety blanket (clearly still wrong at times) to fall back on.
For me it should be used minimally, maybe some games not even at all. I'd use it only for a stonewall pen not given or red cards, it should be very quick and if not obvious on one or two viewings leave the refs decision.
I'd leave the offsides to the linesman, they aren't perfect as we know but the game was never meant to be and the rules certainly aren't.
Ultimately it's just so slow, goal goes in and you wait. I don't even know why the fans in the ground bother to celebrate half the goals properly knowing var is looking for any reason to disallow it.
Personally as much as the Chelsea goal against us in the prem was horrible, I'd rather that than not being able to celebrate a goal properly, it's the best part of the whole experience.
And the Morelos goal that was disallowed in the Celtic v Rangers game. Fck all wrong with it. VAR is a joke, we need VAR checking VAR decisions.
Thread starter has gotten the hump because LiVARpool don't get the amount of advantageous calls they used to since the introduction of that technology.
He used to be an ardent Kloppite but now refers to him as "that German sausage."
He's become so disillusioned by performances this season he's skipping a trip to St Cadoc's Church this morning as he believes no amount of earnest prayer will help the Scousers to overcome Arsenal later today.
Like Noel Gallagher said “imagine the Agueroooooo’ goal and having to wait for VAR to decide either way” VAR is killing the joy of football.
It’s getting like a computer game
It's all fine though, they did say sorry

I never ever wanted VAR, I said it would change one set of problems for another and haven’t changed my mind.
In November 2018, the Premier League clubs voted unanimously to introduce VAR for the 2019/20 campaign. Cardiff City were one of those clubs. A certain Neil Warnock was a vocal supporter of VAR back then.
It hasn’t made the game better
