No I was on about away fans at ours ( which would increase our average attendances ), sorry for the confusion

Was last season’s average affected by reduced capacities or games behind closed doors? Pretty sure one game (Blackburn?) had no fans allowed, I think it was in January.

Wasn't that adjusted for? I seem to recall that it had been, but I could be talking nonsense again.

It wasn’t adjusted , so our aggregate attendance was divided by 23 , not 22 , so I’m assuming the average should have been over 19,000 if it was calculated correctly taking into account the Blackburn match.

Fair point. I assumed it had been taken into account but apparently not. Last seasons actual average would’ve been ~19,500 in that case. We’d need a crowd of 28k to match that this season which won’t happen.

So we’ll end up a few hundred lower than last season. Which still surprises me that it’s that close.

The 2021-22 average was 18,869 and this does take account of the Blackburn game. Total attendance was 415,109 in 22 home games.
Total so far this season is 420,652 in 22 games, which is an average of 19,121

The 2019-20 average was 22,822 in 18 home games.

Yeah that does appear to be the case.

This season's attendances broken down by game:

    And last season's:

The 19/20 season doesn't surprise me being as high as it was considering it was a post PL season.

Will it come down in price should it be a lower level of football?

That’s incorrect the average for last season is 19,767 as there were two games with no supporters (Preston and Blackburn)

    415,109 divided by 21 = 19,767

It’s not a bad price in terms of L1 either

Ah the Preston game was first round of the FA Cup. The Blackburn game was the only league game behind closed doors.

And City offer concessions for those who are 60 whereas many clubs draw the line at 65.
