The negativity on this board is truly staggering at times. Anyone who reads this blokes playing and managerial record properly cant fail to be impressed. Interesting appointment, I’m not sure what some people were expecting but we were never going to attract the next big thing. At least we are thinking outside the box a little for once. I’d rather this than someone like Harris, Mick, Morison, Hudson etc.

Hopefully a clean out of back room staff now as well, move on Bamba, Whitehead and let him bring in his own people.

What leads you to that conclusion? The guy has apparently been out of work since January, having left a Turkish side that was getting crowds as low as 2,500 this season. I don't imagine Gaziantep pay big wages to their managers.

think you will find almost every football manager from Spanish / Portuguese or futsal mad countries stock in the last 30 years would have come from a futsal background .It's ingrained in footballers from the age of 5 in most of these countries and you usually find these type of managers play futsal tactics on 11 aside pitches aka Pep as an example

Hopefully he will a bring in a new style not only for the 1'st team but right through all age groups a style we have never seen before here at the city

Twenty five points from twenty two games I make it, not outstanding, but they would have stayed up comfortably with those results continued over the course of the season.

Players and manager were not getting paid. So you'd be right there.

I reckon he's the cheap option as we're, apparently, not offering a big salary. What I was told about Oscar Garcia was meant to have been happening, he's either turned us down and/or got better options elsewhere
