    I’ll be there
Last saw them in Newport Centre 1990 I think
Great night that was - though I was on another planet that night

    thanks for heads up

the skadiff gig sounds appealing in August too

might give that a whirl along with the undertones in September

Saw them in 1989 when Tom Hingley was on vocals and with the late Craig Gill on drums. Saw Tom in Jaks in Aberdare a few years ago too. The current line up is a pale imitation I'm afraid, although I've got a lot of time for Clint Boon.

Seen them a few times over the years including at TJs. Just be prepared for a tricky journey home afterwards as there's a few things on that night.

The original vocalist Stephen is a bloody good bloke...lost his place to alcohol dependency and is now a counsellor. He's not Tom Hingley but he left on bad terms so that's not going to happen. I've watched them live a few weeks ago on a stream and they were pretty tight, the vocals aren't Tom Hingleys but I can never get to pale imitation as the music coming out of them is the real deal to get you bopping and smiling. Clint Boon worth the entrance fee alone!

Saw Kula Shaker at the Tramshed in February. Cracking gig in a decent venue.

He was but Tom's distinctive voice was the only one during their meaningful career. That along with Clint's organ and percussion was pretty much their sound. Craig Gill was a brilliant drummer too.
    I was tempted to go

I never really got into Inspiral Carpets. They were decent enough, but always seemed second-rate to me.

I'm not saying they're shit or that people shouldn't like them. But you're right. I don't get it. I can live with that.
