    Preferable as regards what? Macron did his best to get the presidential second round of voting to be him vs Le Pen as he was almost certain he could win that. Le Pen is playing a good game in parliament to make her party look reasonable and constructive. I have no difficulty in thinking that if she were in power she'd make some new (and backdated ) policies regarding foreign residents and naturalised citizens.
