    Match Facts:

    • Wales and Armenia have faced twice previously, both in qualifying for the 2002 World Cup. Both games were drawn, 2-2 in Yerevan and a goalless draw at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
    • Armenia have only lost one of their previous four away matches against British sides (W1 D2), although that was in their most recent game in June 2022 against Scotland in the UEFA Nations League.
    • Wales ended a run of nine matches without a win in all competitions (D3 L6) with their 1-0 win over Latvia in March. They last won consecutive games in October and November 2021 against Estonia and Belarus.
    • Since winning five games in a row between November 2020 and March 2021, Armenia have won just two of their last 21 games in all competitions (D6 L15), winning none of their last nine (D2 L7) since beating the Republic of Ireland last June.
    • Wales are unbeaten in their last 12 home European Championship qualifying matches (W9 D3) since losing 2-0 to England in March 2011.
    • Armenia have lost nine of their last 10 competitive international matches (W1), conceding 29 goals across these defeats and losing the last six in a row by an aggregate score of 19-4.
    • Kieffer Moore scored the winning goal in Wales' 1-0 win over Latvia in their last European Championship qualifier. Since his debut, Moore is Wales' leading scorer with 10 goals, with six of those coming via headers - no other Welsh player has more than one headed goal in that time.
    • Daniel James assisted Kieffer Moore's winning goal against Latvia in Wales' last game - indeed, five of James' six assists for the Red Dragons have been provided for Moore.

I hope Brooks gets a run out even if it's a couple of minutes, and Harris too for different reasons.

A win tonight and Latvia doing us a favour would be tremendous.

Re: WALES v ARMENIA. Match thread

I’d be disappointed if we struggled and only scrape a win like we did against Latvia.

Looking at Armenia’s recent results doesn’t exactly make them out to be a tough opponent.

In their last 10 games they’ve lost 3-0 and 4-0 to Ukraine, lost 2-0 and 4-1 to Scotland, lost 2-0 against Albania, lost 3-2 against Ireland. They got battered 9-0 in a friendly against Norway.

Their only results are 1-0 against Montenegro and 2-2 against Kosovo, both friendly games. And they got a 1-0 win at home against Ireland in the Nations League.

I wonder if any of the fringe players will get their first caps tonight

Cooper could get a look in?

I’d imagine Ramsey will be sitting back with Ampadu in a double pivot.

Neither of these teams can defend

May as well just have a game of 5 a side to settle it

I wouldn't say we attack very well.

Shall I be the first to say that if we had a decent manager we'd probably play comparatively better football.

I don't really subscribe to that. I don't think we have very good footballers.

It defies the belief the money Swansea got for Joe Rodon.
