    3 goals and 1 assist I think

So far I would be happier with the second squad with a few from the first.....need a new keeper as neither inspires confidence....

Movement up top was much better, O'dowda a real threat, Colwill always looking for the ball, Tanner as well. Goutas was solid, though this Rovers team wasn't much of a threat.

Think we’re seeing the difference in squad depth between the two clubs, although the changes we’re probably going to make could lead to more of an even game. Ugbo didn’t do badly, but Goutas wasn’t really tested.

Finished 1-0 - we barely had a kick in the last twenty minutes.

Good to see Collins back on the pitch.

Good to see Rubin in the No 10 position, and just starting to show what he's got there.

Quality from O'Dowda, Robinson, Ng, Wintle and NcGuinness.

Promise from Tanner, Ugbo and Goutas.

Etete, Isaak Davies, Campbell and Watters fluffed their lines. Benjamin looked better than last time out. Adams has got some edge.

Mixed bag. But neither goalkeeper has impressed, and we look toothless up top.

Still - pre-season and all that: fitness, style, shape, system, combinations, and momentum leading up to Leeds. Useful.

Can you have a slow start to a season that hasn't started??

From the first few games it looks to me like McGuinness,ODowda and Robinson only certain starters v Leeds.

Whatever it is, he’s having a slow start to it.

    Uninspiringly. Lacking creativity and goalscorers.

If a decent keeper isn’t found we will struggle. You can’t rely on a defence stopping every shot at goal and this pair don’t look like saving much.

Robinson is a cracking intellegent player .

    Class above the rest .

Whoever signed him deserves a pat on.the back .

    Need a keeper .

    Appreciate the insight!

I wanted to stay up for it, just to get a peek at the new guys, but I can't make it past 9pm nowadays.

Etete needs to step it up asap. Sometimes he looks hungry, sometimes he looks not interested.

He's a class above isn't he, except when we play Swansea of course.

Etete is a funny one… on one hand you can see he’s got obvious qualities and what he could be, and players with his physical profile can take a bit longer to come through.

On the other hand, Prem teams aren’t usually in the habit of letting players go at that age if they think they’ve got a chance to play at a high level. There are stories like Bowen but usually they’ve been released much younger.

I hope he’s given a year or two to see if he can develop the positioning and technical ability, but if he’s one of our main strikers this year you’d have to say he’s probably not ready and might find himself bombed out sharpish. Hopefully we now have the manager and coaching staff to develop him and have a bit of patience.

    I've updated the thread title.

I see City are treating it as one game of 120 minutes which we won 2 - 1.
