That’s why I was surprised basically based on what was left when the club announced 13,000 compared to what’s left on the site now.
There is has definitely been more than 900 sold since the 13,000 was announced, there has been an extra block released in the family stand as well.
Coventry have sold about 15k, think Bristol are similar. we are in that ballpark
I think some people are pulling these figures out of a hat
If there is a link to an up to date count of season tickets sold for each championship club we could do a bit of comparison
So far it's all conjecture
Over 1400 have been sold since Ramsey came in. They are still selling. Nearly two weeks until season starts. When the season started last year just under 14000 were sold and they sold another 5-600 half season tickets when they became available. We have already sold more than the total for last year now.
I wasn't having a go at Bluetit when I posted as he must have been given the wrong figure at the meeting. More than 900 must have been sold since the club announced 13000 sales some time ago. Why would the club blank out seats on the online seating map if they hadn't been sold, so that people cant buy them - it doesn't make sense but people who continually try to make out that the club support is worse than it is, still keep saying that the online map is misleading. It is a simple job to add up the total number of seats still available to buy (about 6200 as of today) and this means that over 15000 must have been sold. The Canton main blocks are as good as sold out, the Ninian stand centre four blocks are at least 80% sold. Availability on the other two sides of course.
That's exactly that for me - blind optimism - always excited at this point then get massively disappointed and wonder why I do it for about two weeks after the season ends then I am like - when are season tickets out, when the fixtures out, whens the first home, whens the first away
Can't help myself and looking forward to Leeds already 👍
Perhaps seats sold for the qpr game have gone from the season ticket allocation
This is another fantastic thread. Considering it’s so slow, this board is great fun at the moment.
Tony is told in person by the ticket office manager during a meeting with club officials that 13,900 season tickets have been sold so far, but people are disputing that because it doesn’t tally with what they believed to be the number after counting the dots on an online stadium map or something equally daft.
Magnificent stuff.
You may think we’re stupid, and you may be right, but those of us who read the occasional thread on the alternate forum on here are used to posters telling us they know better than what I’d say ninety per cent plus of us would acknowledge as experts in their field (I think it’s reasonable to assume that the ticket office manager qualifies as an expert on the suBject of how many season tickets the club has sold for the coming season). We really do appear to have a small group of posters on here who are either tremendously talented and do really know more than someone who is thought of as a specialist in any given area or they have a problem admitting when they’re wrong.
Are you 100% sure that the ticket office manger includes Corporate season tickets?. As a member of level 4 the purchasing process is completely different as it’s through Corporate sales rather than the general ticket office. Perhaps this is why there are discrepancies in the numbers quoted. Roll on the start of the season.
