If he wants to blame anyone for England not winning the world cup in his era he should look in the mirror. He had an absolute shocker in the semi final against West Germany in 1990 for their goal and didn’t get anywhere near any of their penalties.
Wasn't their goal a massive deflection off Paul Parker from a free kick, so wasn’t really a shocker from Shilton ? The rest though, yes he was poor.

    Massive deflection off Parkers arrse.

Shilton's backward shuffle, flapping arm and poppadoms wrists are fantastic football viewing.

    Chris Woods would've saved it.

He was at most four yards off his line, and the ball went so high that he had time to take a proper step back instead of those little baby steps he did. No keeper should be getting lobbed four yards off his line.

Bobby Robson promised Woods and Beasant 45 minutes each in the play off game with Italy. Shilton wouldn't allow it to happen as he wanted his 125th cap, Robson caved and those two missed their only opportunity to play in the World Cup.

Terry Butcher was another Twat. When he signed for Rangers he said that he was going to burn all of his Simple Minds lp's as they were Celtic fans. Butcher should've burnt them anyway! Some rock solid cock knockers in that England squad.

Man U winning the champs league in 99 and the roof almost coming off the pub when they scored was rather annoying. So, despite everything, I was quite pleased Man City repeated the feat this year, just to annoy their neighbours and their far-flung disciples.

Dortmund blowing the Bundesliga last season was also deflating.
