Wasn’t he brought in by Morison as he was good with the ball at his feet (which he was) and so suited the initial plan but then fell out of favour when various different managers wanted to be more direct?
If so it is easy to criticise but he seems to have been a victim of our revolving door manager strategy surely?

I think all managers would want a keeper to be able to make a save, which was his achilles heel.
