    Scotland v England

    Tonight in a ‘friendly’

Have to fancy the home team as they are flying at the moment.

    Re: Scotland v England

It doesn't even deserve the title of friendly .
I doubt most of the players really care that much about It as it is eating into their leisure time.
A cynical marketing team ploy to sell hugely expensive anniversary shirts.
It appears England are even having a special warm up kit to mark the occasion.
Less a game more a retail opportunity.

Does the retro kit extend to hobnail boots, an itchy woollen jersey, and are they playing with a leather ball complete with inflated pigs bladder?

Not sure on Scotland but England are auctioning theirs for charity at least. Love the look of both.

    Both anthems very "interesting."

Minutes silence for Craig brown cut short due to noise (I think by England fans).

Scotland fans respond with a quick rendition of "lizzies in a box" (I've also heard this down the city actually).

Rice Bellingham and foden midfield 3

Saka Rashford and kane front 3.

If they don't win a few tournaments in next few years with that then......

Scotland have been dire though, got to be disappointing after such a good run. Bellingham and Foden have been absolute quality, but Scotland are just playing into England's hands tactically and they've been unbelievably poor when they have managed to get on the ball.

Got to have a manager who will actually play the players first. I tend to think if not for Southgate's negativity they'd probably have one already.

They do have Maguire playing though, thankfully!

England have so much talent available to them

England have a pretty formidable squad. So much talent.

They must have a really good chance of winning the trophy.

I used to laugh when people used to say that there were too many foreigners in the Premier League and that it would affect home grown players. While it has taken time, British players have realised what they need to do to make the grade in the top division. Having some of the best players in the world in the top division must inspire home grown talent, in a similar way that Aaron Ramsey must inspire players in our squad.

Would England have as many talented players had we limited the number of foreigners? No, they'd probably still be playing long ball like things were in the 90s.

I didn't see the game but was this a classic case of England suddenly becoming world class having just beaten a far inferior team?

    I don’t think so.

More that England comfortably beat a very ordinary Scotland side who have very much over achieved recently.

This will be a sobering reality check for Scotland whereas it is just another game for England.
