Barring an injury crisis, it looks like Kieffer will be available in January. And if we're in a position financially to get him in, it's an absolute no-brainer.
I don't care if he forced a move previously, he's the best striker we've had here since Jay Bothroyd. The closest thing you'll get to a guaranteed 15-20 goal-a-season player in this league. And unlike Ugbo and Kaba, he contributes outside the box too.
In the meantime, the interesting one (for me) is Meite. Unlike other players who've flattered to deceive in the past, he has a strong, proven goalscoring record at this level. It doesn't really tally up with some of the sitters he's been missing. He's capable of absolutely bullying defenders, and if he can start putting away some of these chances I still think he'll come good.
