Bulut suggested he would be playing in the post Coventry press conference.

Maybe he’s holding him back for the mighty Rotherham?

Anyway, Colwill, Tanner and Etete ready to come on after 70 and create magic!

Keep the faith until keeping the faith is lunacy!

Sunderland are a top Championship side - not up there with Leicester but I think nailed on for top 6, possibly chasing 2nd spot. We'll do very well to get something out of the game today, especially without Ramsey..

Yep. And their last home game was a 5-0 win against Southampton.

Surely that's a red card? Shocking challenge

That should have been a Red shirley

Thought Ralls was badly injured there. Horrible challenge.

Ugbo's going to score today, I can feel it.

I'd be very surprised if we did....all a bit cagey right now....

Collins awful there. Just stopped tracking the one-two and put his hand up to say offside when it wasn't even close. Should be 1-0 to them.

Had some half decent moves but you can tell the difference in the quality of the two sides right now just in terms of first touch and inventiveness... be doing very well to get something from this without Ramsey.

Has Wintle touched the ball yet?

We won't get many chances...but will get some.....need to make sure they are put away....

Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Sunderland playing a high line, we need to get the width going. Collins and Grant could do some damage down that left.

Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

I think we look decent going forward (on the rare occasion we do go forward) and susceptible at the back.

Like most of our away games this season really.

Our midfield is looking sluggish though. Even Siopis isn't his usual energizer bunny self.

Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Ramsey is not going to play every game nor 90 minutes of every game

I think having 3 workhorses then hitting them on the break is a good plan when he isn't playing

Or signing a deputy to Ramsey when he's off sick 🤮

Re: SUNDERLAND v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

Ralls and Wintle just isn't a dynamic or creative enough of a midfield pairing, this was always going to be the risk if Ramsey missed some time

You must be watching a different game if you think there are 3 workhorses out there right now.

Can we stop putting Ugbo on the wing please?

Every time he plays there we completely fall apart and can't get out of our own half. At least 3 halves of evidence so far and that's just the games I've seen.

One massive shock is just finding out that Tony Mowbray is only 59
