The Celtic Football Club and Rangers Football Club are their full names. Glasgow isn't part of their official names.

Anyway, is there a Queens Park?

A brilliant old Scottish one was Third Lanark, full name of the club was The Third Lanarkshire Rifles.

What about clubs representing two towns/cities? Brighton & Hove Albion are one you’d think of immediately. I wonder if Boscombe residents had their noses put out of joint when their club became AFC Bournemouth? Rushden & Diamonds were an amalgamation of Rushden FC & Irthlingborough Diamonds I believe. Walton & Hersham have been on the non league circuit for a while, any more?

Well, couldn't resist this challenge. Actually, I think Port Vale might be first club not named after a settlement, not a place . It seems Port Vale Wharf was a place you could stop on the Trent & Mersey Canal, near to the ground.

They were originally Woolwich Arsenal, and that is definitely on the map.

Port vale is unique because the place 'Port Vale' doesn't actually exist. Every other team in the EFL and Prem has a name to associate it with a place.

with regards to Rangers and Celtic the names are both predicated by'Glasgow,

    Man United, Man City.

No place called Man on the map, apart from that Isle of Mann which is spelt differently

I used to work with a Port Vale fan years ago. Only one I've ever met. Fair play to anyone who follows them - that must be a tough gig.
