Damn right. I accidentally caught glimpse of the front page of the Daily Mail once in Spar and even though it was only offering 25% off at Center Parcs I couldn't stop thinking that actually Center Parcs would make a great concentration camp.

It's a matter of record that the Mail, under the fascist, Hitler loving Lord Rothermere, published a headline supporting Oswold Mosely entitled "Hurrah for the Blackshirts". Thing was, he owned the Daily Mirror as well at the time and its fascist supporting headline was only marginally less restrained.
In fairness the Mail has been consistently anti-socialist before and since then (even notoriously publishing the fake Zinoviev letter that scuppered Labour in the 20s) but it shows how one person can seek to influence the masses in a Murdoch styleee!
It's also a fact that the guardian supported the confederacy in the American Civil War. It's also a fact that opinions before world war 2 were very different to after (you can find many pro Stalin articles before it for example). Imagine endlessly pointing that out.
It's also true that it's 2023 now and a story about a politicians alleged sexual offences have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the Nazi party. Surely people know by now that throwing around such things is pointless? I realised it when I was 16 and a bloke in the pub told me to shut the fk up you boring little kid. A wise lesson learnt!

He's stepping down at the next election and it's good to see that he has finally done something which this constituent can approve of

I guess the reality is that if you really want to go around shouting nazi at people then that's up to you.
Its nothing new, the difference is we used to be able to leave people like you at the bar staring into your pint shouting at the foam for being fascist or something and just ignore it when out of our earshot. Now we get it constantly on our phones, even in threads about MPs accused of sexual misconduct which is as far away from the topic of Nazism as is imaginable.
I guess I should learn to better ignore you, or not take you seriously, that is true, abut it bugs me that you poison the well with rhetoric that sows discord and absolutely nothing else.
No one is diverting from anything. He's been accused of something. He denies it. He's been suspended and in the meantime he'll be investigated and if found guilty will face consequences, and that's the way of it.
