I'm interested now how the national lottery decide who recieves donations. I'd bet it's determined by the government in some way.
Personally, i think food banks are a good, efficient method of helping those who really need help. If the government were to do the same job directly, they'd undoubtedly spend more with loads of bureaucracy.
You're desperation to try and prove that voter in Hartlepool right is hilarious. I wonder what else the Government has done for us over the past thirteen years just out of the goodness of their own hearts that they're too embarrassed to tell us about?

Also, after your admission that "The current Conservative party aren't Conservative enough for me, they're largely centrists these days.", I would have thought you would have been up in arms about the Government secretly funding food banks.

You're not the most convincing multi we've ever had on here.

If we export armaments, then people hardly complain about importing refugeesIMG_4324.jpg

I don't believe the government are secretly funding food banks, that's not my belief or what i said in this thread. You know this, so why exaggerate and misrepresent my views when everybody can read what's been said?
Describing the increase in food banks as an "explosion" is more exaggeration. Calm down, you're not on PMQs. We're all City fans, just relax
As for calling me a multi, you're wrong again but aren't you the one who preaches "play the ball not the man"? Isn't calling me a "multi" playing the man not the ball?

That graph can easily be explained by the recent switch in voting practices. Former Labour voters, who would be worried about immigration, voted Conservative in the last GE. So now their concerns about immigration are now attributed to Conservatives, where in the past it would've been attributed to Labour voters.
Some people, seemingly intelligent, only see what they want to see.

I was being sarcastic because what you were saying is so ludicrous.

I posted a link which showed there had been something like a forty fold increase in UK Foodbanks under the Conservatives,, you can bleat about the word I use to describe that and try to patronise me as much as you like, but the figures speak for themselves.

So, you’re the latest in what is a pretty long line of posters on here who are supposed to have spent years, if not decades, just reading this board without contributing who have now decided to start putting.messages on here are you? Sorry, but I don’t believe you, that said, the views you’ve expressed in this thread about Foodbanks are so daft that there is a part of me that thinks I should be able to recognise you by a previous us posting name, so I’ll admit I may be wrong there, but nowhere near as wrong as you are about Foodbanks.

I wouldn't be so hard on yourself, Bob. Ok, sheeple like us can't join dots like the gifted and talented club so I guess we have to put down +native hipsters last post in the early hours of 31/10/23 and NinianOpinion1927 starting his message board journey a few hours later as pure coincidence.

Either that or there are only so many balls one morph can juggle!

"Although we at Camelot are responsible for generating returns for Good Causes by selling National Lottery tickets, we play no role in the allocation of funding. This is the specific responsibility of 12 National Lottery distribution bodies, each with specialist knowledge of their sectors. These are chosen by PARLIAMENT to help ensure the money goes exactly where it’s needed."

And which party currently dominate parliament Bob?

Parliament are telling the National Lottery to heavily fund food banks. And The Conservatives currently have a large majority in Parliament.

Oh come on. It's all opinions. A better line would surely be that the same day that +native hipster stopped his nasty posts and I started posting was a pure coincidence and I couldn't possibly know who these Lither and Hyperborean creatures are because they predated my presence by many many months!

I just want to know who is promoting 'good fascism' this week. It was a tag game for a while but now Lither, Hipster and the others have done their latest Dr Who routine, I have lost track.

My opinion is that, apart from the Covid/93m mile sun outlier the attention seeker in the current troika wants more reaction from a Welsh Conservative/ anti Senedd persona. Particularly as the short verse racist stuff wasn't getting hits.

Why don’t you just ignore the posters in question then rather than initiate pile ons MB ?

The attention thing must be the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard, especially when there is an ignore button.

Funny how posters behave behind a keyboard isn’t.
