There's only been a handful of players for us that have gone on to bigger and better things but I do think squads have been littered with underplayed and unappreciated players.

For me Kenwyne Jones as he never gets mentioned as a good striker for us.

I think Gunnarsson got his plaudits while here.
I was going to say that, he was underrated by some of our fans, a fantastic player, never moaned and just did his job well week in and week out, there can be a lot more to a top Striker than just goals

Not a great player bit a very solid performer for us was Don Cowie who seldom had a bad game.
Guido Burgstaller played a handful of games for us looked decided average went on to storm the Bunesliga.
Rudy Guested couldn't hit a cows ars3 with a banjo - joined Blackburn and looked absolutely lethal.
To a lesser extent Josh Magennis but anyone that saw him play for us would be hard pushed to predict the sucesful pretty career he went on to have in terms of club and international appearances/ goals.
For me our best player this century, and that includes Whitts.
Gunnarson was very good and an absolute steal for the fee we paid Coventry but Whitts was in a different class to any City player I’ve seen wearing the shirt and I’ve been going since the late 60s
I also rated Helgusson. He didn't score that many goals, but he always put in a shift and led the line well.
You could say the same of Kenny Miller.

How are you measuring that? Impact or just general quality? Gunnar was very good but not in the same class as Ramsey, Whitts or Camarasa talent wise
There's no doubting Whitt's class but there were times when he took his foot off the gas so-to-speak. Gunnarson didn't stop for 90 minutes, he could tackle, pass, shoot, and I think the only player who was in both promotion teams..

Yes - Steve McPhail.
It was crazy how many 'fans' had it in for him with the McFail crap. He was quality - and with all his medical problems he added quiet dignity and real bravery to his skill and personality.
Rúnar Alex Rúnarsson?
Ross McCormack. More of a case that we didn't really know what we had in terms of a footballer as he played 2nd fiddle to Chopra. He was a much better player than Chopra in my opinion, he could drop deep for the ball, had really quick feet and a fantastic touch. He didn't help himself though, and we sold him on for **** all.
Less than half a million to Leeds who sold him on for £11m
Just can't believe the flack Joe Ralls gets, only played in the Championship with a brief season in the prem, but we still have fans who think he is poor
