Re: Independent Wales viable, says Welsh government report

    God please no

Those pro independence articles and marches are all very well but just not suppoted at general election time

I think a devolved Wales within a UK is the best way forward

Nationalism in the context of the uk and Wales ?

How are we going to raise taxes to run a country on the economy we have ?

Going solo is not going to end economic deprivation in Wales...its going to be even worse with an independent Wales

Rowland and McAlister - are hardly the experts here. He believes in something that doesnt exist - steeling a living. She had a few incidents at sport wales i believe re accounts. Anyway, they want independence and to be free of a remote Westminister governing over them and they want to re join the EU - to be governed by the EU in Brussels - even further away.

How either of them got to where they are is as weird as Drakeflap becoming FM

I wonder as Gwern Gwynfil is the CEO of Yes Cymru what his opinion could possibly be. I will have a listen later though ..

I wouldn't be against it at all.

Wales is pretty much the poorest part of the UK, it's been amongst the poorest parts for centuries in 100 years it will still be the poorest part of the UK if it stays in it.

100 years ago Ireland was about the poorest part of the UK. Now it is richer - if it had stayed in the union, does anyone think it wouldn't be the poorest part of the UK today?

The UK in its current format will always be focussed on the south east of england and investment in other parts are left to feed off the scraps.

I agree with all of this 👍 my biggest concern is nationalism.

Re: Independent Wales viable, says Welsh government report

We have very little common with the rolling hills of Ceredigion and loads in common with Bristol , Birmingham etc

People in North Wales turn to Liverpool and Manchester for shopping culture travel etc

The yes cymru lot are deluded in my view as it's just political flag waving

If a big industrial complex in say Merseyside lost 3000 jobs like the port Talbot closure it would affect the wellbeing and economy of the North Wales population far more than 3000 jobs being lost down here

This silly patriotism is exactly that

It's great to have our own sporting teams but I would be prepared to let that all go if it meant economic prosperity and we could still have ccfc

    Yes

    It's drivel

I would rather a country with a few tories that are representing places that are basically extensions of England like South Pembrokeshire or Monmouth and kept in their little box than lose the plot and let the nationalists in

They are all mad and listening to the leader of plaid this morning was again the icing on the cake

There's more chance of a one world government than an independent Wales!

Don't forget we have a thriving economy built by Labour's 20 years of toil.

We will be okay as we dominate the market for :
Real Daffodils / Daffodil Hats , Welsh Cakes, Caravan Parks , Cliffs, Sand Dunes, Brains Beer , 20mph Road signs, Castles, Seaweed, Lava Bread, Poole Y Cum, Overweight Drinking Lasses, Max Boyce , Tom Jones, Uggy Uggy Uggy Chants, Rain, Wind .

Even got a Royal Celebrity Couple in Charlotte Church and Gavin Henson .

All of the above must have some worthwhile commodity value that would surely see us punch our weight in the world once independence come cometh ..

Are we giving up on Labour????
