    Exactly, its why protests by people like JustStopOil are ill conceived. If the UK unilaterally stops oil exploration you dont take away the demand for oil, so oil will still be resourced, just not by us. Same as the closure of the opencast at Merthyr, the cal will still be required, e'll just import it. We are crucifying our economy for the environment when in the grand scheme of things we are having no affect whatsoever as we are just moving the emissions from the UK to other more polluting countries.
