Sad ending for player who played a huge part in the Cardiff City story, two tragic tales, Ferguson & Sala, almost a 100 years apart, one player who made The City’s fans dreams come true and another who never got the chance to, RIP to them both.

Hadn’t heard about the undiagnosed inner ear tumour, but the writer makes the point that the Dundee crowd turned on a player that had only known adulation until then and I can’t help thinking that must have only made things worse for someone who clearly had some off field problems as well. The writer also says that it’s impossible to know for sure what someone is going through and football crowds, understandably I suppose, make no allowance for that if someone is not doing the business out on the pitch.
