the clickbait rag is back
we just seem to have the misfortune of our bogey side also being one of our local rivals..
i'm not looking into it any deeper than that, after four wins on the bounce prior to this utter collapse in shape there is no other logical explanation.
Think we should the game to bed. We've had a decent run and are safely in midtable.
Bulut needs to give the couple of youngsters who have promise a start and quietly ease out those who won't be with us next season.
Not a massive fan of Bulut, he has made a lot of mistakes, perhaps many due to his lack of understanding of the Championship, but we could do far worse than offering him a contract for next year.
Depends I suppose though?
Do we know if sabri was actually offered one or had any discussions.or did he walk or was he pushed with no discussions?
Same with bulut he may feel his stock has risen now so may ask for a much improved deal. Probably not as simple as ordering an extension on same terms and all done.
Whats the problem? Don't we normally lose to Swansea.
We've won twice since 2014
Why should we all just admit something that is not true?
Colwill is a Championship player. He has been our best player a handful of times this season.
He has weaknesses - but not as many as at the start of the season. He seems unable to perform for 90 + 5 minutes, but again is getting fitter than last season ir the start of this one.
He is not a kid any more, but there is no reason with good coaching and experience he cannot develop into a top Championship player!
There was a moment in the early stages of the game when a Swansea defender's pass, of only about 15 metres, was under hit. It was there for the taking by Wintle, he had momentum going towards the ball. We could have benefitted from the mistake, got the home fans on the player's back etc. But no, Wintle was just too slow to react and jogged towards the loose ball, where it was retrieved by a Swansea player.
Moments like that can sway the feeling within the ground amongst the home fans, but Wintle didn't have it in him.
This thread is always hilarious when 90% of the forum goes into meltdown mode. Always blaming players who perform ok for not doing good and completely overlooking the regular offenders because its a bit embarrassing to point out the obvious (ok. perhaps im giving you a bit too much credit)
Ultimately, why dont we start the same way we finish each game? Why does it take 75 minutes to bring on the clear A-Team to get the job done? What is bulut thinking when he goes in half time after that dross?
Too many questions to "crucify" bulut on yet again and tbh over the last bunch of winning games. He is being carried by the 75th minute boys
The entire midfield looked like they had no idea whether to press or sit in yesterday, not sure if they were rattled or Bulut tried to tweak it. You’d hope that wasn’t the case after it looked the best it has all season vs Ipswich
Turnbull notably looked like he had no clue what he was doing out there, which then led Wintle and Siopis chasing shadows for most of the game as it was so easy for Swansea to play through the lines in the first half.
We're 38 games into the season and I'm still not sure if this group of players are playing to their best abilities. I have a suspicion that Bulut is more often than not opting for a pragmatic approach to games rather than 'throw caution to the wind' and suffer the consequences. It's his 1st job in the EFL/PL and I reckon he is seeing City as a tick on his CV. Surely any manager with a view to next season and our current league position would be taking all the positive options. Bulut seems to be playing safe, and keeping City mid table to show his suitors what a good manager he is..
