nevermind, half the shit players do that every week and nobody mentions it.

What about granted-passback putting our defense underpressure? siopisstaker literally needs to be on the assist lists of some of our opponents.

i think i'll give Colwill more credit than those garbage useless tw@ts

Hopefully Joel Colwill & Ashford can get 25 minutes, The Den would be great experience for them

very unlikely...Bulut ONLY cares about his contract and more points = more chance of contract. Such a unbelievably selfish manager

if he actually cared about the club he would take a punt on a few young-guns while the games are not as important..he wont get another chance

I've got a good idea - let's all blame Colwill for us being behind at HT.

I hope we don't bring him in in the summer

    Tanner on

Turnbull and Ashford on for Ralls & Bowler

Presumably Turnbull will play a bit further forward, nice to see it's not just like for like changes

Re: MILLWALL v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread

We play far too deep, it's been a problem today and a problem all season. We have our number 10 defending deep in our own half, our wingers dropping to basically playing as wing backs, the striker completely isolated and wonder why we create little going forward

Indeed. A childish comment to make. Petty.

Not childish at all. An opinion. To which I am entitled. Calling yourself Keyser Sosa and ranting like you think your opinions are insightful or of particular value: That's childish.

I just don’t understand the tactics.

I’m all for passing football but without any incision and forward movement it all seems so futile.

Our players seem programmed to play backwards and sideways (e.g. Grant)
I didn't see the game today but I get what you are saying.
We seem to be doing this a lot recently.

You are right that the sole reason playing out from the keeper is to stretch the game, drawing out the opposition in order to create space for the midfield and forwards.

For this to work there has to be movement, speed of thought and of course players to pick a pass.
We see no movement and therefore the midfield slow it down and either go sideways or backwards.

Perhaps the fact that there is no decent movement from our attackers is because they know that they will not get the ball due to their teammates not having the quality to provide for them.
We have very little attacking quality.
I think that Bulut has identified this and his negative tactics since the early part of the season have ensued.

What I think people find frustrating is the fact that we keep doing as you say going sideways and backwards.

Bulut should be either bollocking his attacking players for not showing, or ditching the pissing about at the back.
Teams put a high press on us because they know we aren't comfortable playing that way.

Didn’t see first half but this second half is awful. We are just so deep it takes something special to get any kind of chance.

BBC have us at 60% possession.
    No wonder we're losing.

Sequence in that last 5 minutes really showed our problem... Ng I think had a chance to release Ashford in acres of space, took an extra touch and ended up going backwards and passing it around the back for a couple minutes with no threat whatsoever.

That's how we build up our possession stats.

2nd half has been very scrappy. Dheijhou is awful but we are also very slow at getting the ball forward
