Thread: That wasn't the worst hammering at home we have seen as city fans

That wasn't the worst hammering at home we have seen as city fans

Boro took their chances well today

We obviously need to clear out some players but some people on here seem to be looking for the negatives day in day out

It was the worst this season.
You don't have to look for the negatives, they are right there in front of us.

There have been far worse performances this season

Boro had their shooting boots on

Wasn’t our worst performance that’s for sure.

Not sure I'm encouraged by the fact that we conceded 4 at home for the first time since Swansea and we played well...

They wouldn’t have faced too many defences as generous as ours mind.

Worst home defeat since April 2022.

We have been booed off for worse

    Good finishing from boro

To lose by the odd goal would have been fairer

Well that's clearly not the worst defeat we have seen as city fans then

    I think 4-1 was generous

Two of their goals were good finishes and the one in particular wasn't a fault of the defence , it was a sweeping move , you can't do much about that

Yeah, but we were three down by then to goals that were definitely preventable.

Look into my eyes, "it wasn't that bad"

If Southampton had taken [half of] their chances, the end result would have been pretty much the same as today. Better, quicker players all round. They eased off after their 4th and made us look better than we were..

A 'sweeping move'? What's one of them? God forbid that City ever score from a 'sweeping move'.
City created one chance from their own good play in the entire game. At home against a side with nothing to play for. Our only other half chances came from Boro losing possession cheaply. Our goal came after their goalkeeper, who obviously felt sorry for us, kindly passed the ball to Robinson inside the box. In contrast, Boro created six or seven very good opportunities. It's nonsense to suggest we lost because their finishing was better- to finish something you have to start it, and City looked incapable of that.

Will someone who is satisfied with the season please tell me what they look for in a trip to the football. It’s a genuine question as I cant see what we have witnessed in the vast majority of home games to be anywhere near approaching acceptable.

#BulutFC spin doctors are having a busy night tonight

I do hope you keep supporting bulut if he does get the sack. Perhaps put a nice little messageboard together for him too?

baffling isnt it. But ask as you may you'll be received with a deafening silence as with all others who have asked for such justification

I can only imagine a select few like his chubby flat face or hairstyle or something since they have NOTHING football related positive to say about bulut's tactics or style
