Earlier in the same campaign, Rubin Colwill had scored twice in a 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest, while Aden Flint had scored twice against both Peterborough and Millwall.
The last man to score two goals in a Championship game for Cardiff City was Coventry defender Liam Kitching on April Fool's Day.
