I never knew Tony Evans was a Scouser. Albert Larmour "the club's most consistent performer". Why did he have to say that?

He was an ex cricketer who got the sports presenting job

I think they used to make things up as they went along

I always remember Paul Went as a proper Fatty Arbuckle well over weight but after seeing that clip he looks pretty lean.
The rest look exactly how I remember them though.
    Great clip.

Yeah Peter Walker, Glammy and England.

I don't think these journo/interviewrs are much better now.

Great video, thanks for posting that. I wish that game had been televised (there was a strike which prevented it) because Id have been able to tell whether our performance and Tony Evans early goal were really as good as I think they were - my recollection is that we played better against Everton than we did in beating Spurs in Round 3 and were unlucky to lose.

That’s a super video, amazing that they were expecting 40,000 for this game , and segregation was put into a section of the Bob bank. What was Everton’s support that day apparently they had a rough time, but they are well supported so I’m assuming 4,000 plus?

    Crowd was 35000

    They had 5000 ?

They had a bad time apparently and were fighting to get back on the coaches

Crowd was probably 40,000 then if the official one was 35,500

If memory serves me well, which it doesn't always, didn't a group of Everton fans head for Llanrumney after the game, looking for some 'action'? I think they got it, as well. Maybe somebody on here could refresh my memory to the exact details

A great quartet. I've always thought we under sold Attley and Giles. That squad should have kicked on more than it did.

Players that bring back fond memories for many of us and two of those four Cardiff boys became friends of mine many years later.

However, the fact is that the 1976/77 team finished 18th in the Second Division. It wasnt very good.

Some good players but Jimmy Andrews was not a good manager

You can find the Duncan McKenzie goal online though. So there was definitely a camera on the Bob Bank.

Jimmy Andrews was our manager, when we became runners up to Hereford in the '76/'76 season. My favourite ever season in supporting City

    That's not really an endorsement

Cardiff City scored 5 or more goals more often under Jimmy Andrews than any City manager this millennium bar Alan Cork, Malky Mackay and Lennie Lawrence.
