Off top of my head he was only on the pitch for 10 mins. Yes some mild pantomine style booing when he came on but worst reception of an opposition player for 15 years?!

Rooney had far worse that very same day.

That’s not how I remember it, but the point is that Cardiff born Ryan Giggs would not be anywhere near as popular an appointment as manager of his home town team as many from other parts of the country might imagine in my opinion.
