They have basically made the draw more open by removing the restriction that the teams involved in the Nations League Promotion and Relegation Play-offs must be placed in a Group of 4.
This meant that Wales would be in a Group of 5 as 6 Pot 2 Seeded Teams were involved in play offs which in turn meant that we couldn't face Pot 3 teams like Scotland and Ireland as they were play off teams that had to be in a Group of 4.
Also in Groups of 4 will be the winners of the Nations League Quarter Finals so being in a Group of 5 would mean it was more likely that we would avoid the best European teams.
With the restriction removed we can now play more or less anybody and be in a group of 4 or 5.
