As you say, no one's coached him that as a teen otherwise all the players could do it.
You're right. I remember a home game against QPR, must have been 2007 ish, midweek, Ramsey ran the show that evening, and I couldn't quite get to grips with it, so much so that I can actually remember posting on here saying something along the lines that we could have driven a bus through that Qpr midfield, simply because I couldn't/ Refused to acknowledge what I had witnessed, and in my defence, it wasn't like I had seen a player with the ability of Ramsey and the intelligence he possessed that evening, and for a player so young. I simply put it down to the opposition being slow and allowing us to play. I soon realised how wrong I was.

It's a real shame that he carries these injuries, and they won't go away, not in terms of him being able to sustain a run of games, his body just won't allow it now. I sort of understand it, I have problems going up the loft ladder these days ..... Here's hoping we can see the almost best of him from now until the end of the season..👍

For balance, wasn't it Ramsey who needlessly gave the ball away in injury time and presented Bristol with a decent opportunity to win the game?

He's always been capable of that, he would do it with Arsenal on the rare occasions I watched them play.

It was indeed, great recovery from Bagan though

Always had that in him though, I remember him needlessly giving the ball away in the Wales 4-1 Ireland game under Giggs, think Callum Robinson may have scored as a result

That was his first league start for us in 07/08, it was just over a month after Ramsey’s 17th birthday. I’d been watching him play for about two or three years in youth football by then and while it was a surprise to see him that dominant in senior football, it wasn’t much of one.

About four months earlier, City were leading Burnley 2-1 at Ninian Park going into the last quarter of an hour or so of the game. We’d not won at home for ages and there was a lot of tension about on and off the pitch when a sixteen year old Aaron Ramsey came on for his second appearance for the first team and actually calmed things down as he kept possession and saw us through to victory - how good would he have ended up if it wasn’t for all of the injuries he’s suffered?

It was a great recovery by Bagan. Glad to see him doing well recently, I've always liked his attitude.

As for Ramsey, he also gave the ball away for Burnley's fourth and fifth goals back in August. On both occasions, he just fell to the ground and stayed there looking exhausted after conceding possession. Maybe an impact sub is the best role for him now. It'll be interesting to see how Riza chooses to go with him on Saturday (assuming he doesn't have any set-backs between now and then).

There's a lot of pressure on Riza to get tactics and team selection right on Saturday and it's not just Ramsey.

Does Salech get a start? If so does Robinson play 10. Who occupies the wide positions. Alves should keep his place and Ashford really shouldn't have been left out in the 1st place.

We really need a far more aggressive approach than our recent away starts.

I'd go Alnwick Ng Bagan Goutas O Dowda Ralls Mannswerk Colwill Alves Robinson Ashford.

If things aren't going to plan then Salech asap.

Even with injuries he has a few good options, this is a big game for us, I like your team but prefer if fit,

    Alnwick
    NG Goutas Daland Bagan
    Chambers Mannsverk
    Alves Robertson Ashford
    Salech

I would want, O'Dowda, Robinson, and Ramsey on early and really have a go at them.

Didn't Bulut play him for the full 90 in each of his games despite him looking absolutely shattered? It was a ridiculous way to use him tbh, same with Bellamy chucking him on in torrential conditions in Montenegro
