I realise that was a much changed Burnley, but I wonder now their defensive dam had been breached that we may just have a chance to pull off a surprise.
Burnley now 5pts off auto so will be under a bit of pressure to start winning games.
That’s a truly shocking stat about our results against the top four this season - we’ve barely laid a glove on Leeds, Sheffield United , Burnley and Sunderland in league games so far and, despite our brave showing, it was the same against Villa. The likelihood is that our next two games will be a repeat of what has happened since Goutas was sent off at Plymouth - stacks of possession for the opposition as we get at least ten men behind the ball. To be fair, it proved effective against Plymouth and Hull, but, after trying something similar in the home games against Leeds and Sheffield United, there is no precedent of it working against the better teams in the Championship.
I understand why we were set up that way against Villa in the first half, but felt Ashford and Davies should have been introduced at half time to stretch their defence.
Maybe earlier in the season we didn’t have enough attacking options, but now with the two named above, Salech, Robinson and Alves if he’s fit, there’s enough depth in attack for us to take the game to them
It is Burnley we’re playing against on Tuesday, not Barcelona
They have a great defensive record, all the more reason for us to want to prove we can take them on
Portsmouth held them at home the other week and they are no great shakes
Can we score against them? An insane defensive showing so far this season, fair play.
play the same team as Villa except Algazi & Willock who are not up for the fight, play Salech from the start with ashford in and Bagen and play the same game plan playing from the back then mix the odd ball from the keeper which Salech van cope with
The team for Tuesday will be interesting, particularly uptop where suddenly we have options.
Think 532 but probably very wrong.

1-0 City
against all odds we will score twice against them, 2-1 City..
0-0 and a drab one
I'm tempted with the 7-5 odds to score a goal and not get beaten
what odds is a Burnley 2-0 win
