What a game for ramsey to finish his career in tonight if that's the case

That's probably it for ramsey now. I watched on tv and he looked really upset. Hamstring went so he knew straight away.

He won't play again this season and can't see him anywhere next year so probably his last game ever? What a game to finish in if so. No wonder he was upset.

I was near the dug out tonight. He looked almost in tears. At the time I said to my son that's the last we'll see of him.

He needs to stop now, his body can't do it anymore. I hope he does retire. I don't think any of us really want to see his demise on a football pitch for much longer, it isn't nice.

And his hamstring went when he wasn't really extending himself too much. He's gone, muscle tears are so difficult to get over, and it'll just keep happening. I for one hope i don't see him in a city shirt again, and i say that with good intentions. He's cooked.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's appointed as manager before Saturday for the rest of the season though.

It wasn't as if he really extended his leg, it was an innocuous back heel

Yeh, it's really sad. He's done, his body has completely given up on him.

Very sad news. Agree that this is the end for Ramsey. Not a great way to bow out.

I don't know, there's not many players who can say that their last touch of the ball in professional football was a back heel.....

Remembering his unveil and him saying he's here because he's young enough to make an impact and wants to help us go back up to finish up etc......

Been a nightmare for him and the club.and it probably has ended for him personally and will end with relegation to league 1.

Still don't blame the club for signing him as any money we've paid him wouldn't have been put to good use elsewhere would have been wasted on someone else.

    He's only tweaked his hamstring.🤣🤣🤣

He's a multi millionaire had a great career and will probably move into coaching after hes finished which probably isn't today.

It's us that's got to watch us scrap at the bottom of L1 next season. I'm sure Ramsey will be fine whatever he's doing. (and playing 10-15 games in L1 next season id say is still a possibility)

    Maybe Newport County or Merthyr.

Shame it might end like this with us. Though I could see Wrexham offer him a contract if he really wanted to play on. In saying that I hope he's the interim for Blackburn tbh.

He will likely miss the rest of the season. I can't see any club signing him in the summer.

When you start pulling hamstrings doing a backheel, probably time to call it a day

Such a shame, when he signed he probably saw it as a way to come home, play football and be in shape for the USA World Cup

Yet another hamstring injury to one of our players to add to the list though

When he threw that arm-band to the floor I immediately thought "He's done. Season over. Wales selection finished. Playing career over."

    What a shite evening.

It's also become embarrassing. This latest return from injury lasted just six games and two of those were cup matches. He can't play two games in a week even when he's fit. A club in City's position simply can't afford to carry a player like this.

Im glad its not just me.
The guy is a hero but I hope he retires end of the season.
If not, I really hope we dont renew his contract in a playing capacity

He's getting muscle tears, he's got no chance, they don't properly heal as you get older, not in terms of being a top level athlete, they take months to heal and even then it won't be right for him. Bale had the same problem.

At least he was injured playing for the City (his employers) rather than Wales. Pity we won’t see him again; what a talent over so many seasons.
