He will be missed. But maybe not '2 mil to spend on a striker' missed.

He's entertaining but a liability, slade didn't make the most of him though.

If Declan carries on like today he won't be missed.

I realise we are one of the many teams hoping there is still a number of deals to be done but I wouldn't want to see any key players sold at this point no matter what the money. If we worried about losing him for nothing next year we should have sorted it out earlier, if Boro really want to buy one of our players then we have players waiting to leave.

Personally, I was really looking forward to watching his hair bounce around in this new system. But I think he's definitely gone.

    Re: Fabio to Middlesborough?

Paul Trollope was pretty vague as to whether Fabio had played his last match for us

I may be completely wrong, but I can't help thinking the decision to leave him out of the squad was not his own.

Does sound that way doesn't it.

At least he was upfront saying he was left out because of possible transfer.

Trollope said he was left out if squad because of transfer interest

I think this formation would suit him perfectly.

I'm optimistic about the season but our transfer business has again been rather underwhelming. The club have to spin things and try to express that they have ambitions of going up but actions speak louder.

Actions speak louder? We have changed the manager and system in order to get the best out of our best resources. It might not have been an exciting summer window but I disagree with the idea that ambition is measured by number of signings.

I'm sure he's had a hair cut this summer - see the pics from the Bournemouth game. Obviously Boro have only looked at his YouTube back catalogue, his wages and his contract release details. If they'd done even the most basic curly hair check I doubt they'd still be interested.

    Right. That's it. Sell him.

The bounce from his bonce meant he had the best ayatollah at the club. If he's shaved it off he clearly only came to Cardiff so he could be closer to swansea leisure centre

Would be a big miss if we sold him, and we would need another wingback if we sold him, we would have **** all cover in a very demanding position.

True. Bit of a rock and hard place this FFP situation. Ideally we would be holding onto Fabio and also bringing in a decent striker. What's the point of having a billionaire owner if we can't splash the cash?

    He does the ayatollah though

When was the last time you spent any cash on CCFC? These hypocrites who can't get off their arse to support the club are full of shit.

Spot on mate. It's terribly hypocritical of me to bemoan financial fair play rules when the last time the club made money off me was a few weeks ago when I bought a badge from the club shop. Or something. Is that your point? I'm not 100% sure what you're getting at to be honest, it almost seems like you just wanted to have a pop so just mashed at your keyboard.

"We can't splash the cash" YOU don't splash any cash on CCFC.

A nice brown one with Barnsley FC written on it.

Oh I see. Well let me you tell you this, the next time I see you posting about the Olympics or about how many medals "we" won, I'll be on you like a cheap suit sunshine.

Although you'll probably claim you're related to anyone who wins a medal.

Theo Wharton did well at right wing back in pre season. Wonder if he will get a shot there?

I thought David Tutonda might be the more likely Fabio replacement. Isn't he mainly an attacking full back who can also play centre back (as in pre-season) and wing. I think he's got more going for him just now than Wharton.

We may see the manager's thinking on Thursday?

Yes.He looked good too. Tutonda is left footed so I guess he could potentially challenge Declan on the left side? Just wondered if Wharton has it in him to be back up on the right.

Jazz Richards converted from a centre mid to full back. In fact that seems to happen a lot with the better Welsh academy players at Swansea

Not necessarily number of signings but I think most people including the management know where we are short but their hands are completely tied. We then also seem quite happy to sell someone who would be ideal for this formation.

I just think we are lacking in a key area and have quite minimal strength in depth.

The new manager (who was involved last season) and change of system we will have to wait and see on, I'm optimistic however that Trollope will do a good job.

When was the last time you spent any money on ccfc or actually attended ( a question you've always avoided)
