When was the last time we scored 5 at home ?I know we beat Bristol 6-0 away 2010

And 11 goals in last three amazing !

We scored 5 at Fulham in the late 60's perhaps 70's.

This after going one nil down.

My first ever game - December 1968.

That match with Nantes finished 5-1 and then we beat Hull by the same score in Toshack's last home game a few weeks later.

We beat Oxford 5-0 in September 73 as well with Andy McCulloch scoring a hat trick and, putting my boring statto hat on, the Rothmans Football Yearbook showed for a decade or more after that Oxford's record defeat was a couple of 5-0 losses in Cardiff.

I remember us beating Exeter 6-2 in the third round of the FA cup in 1976. I think Alston scored a hat-trick and Anderson was on fire.

That was brilliant entertainment. You're right about Alston scoring a hat trick, Tony Evans got two and I think Anderson got the other one - Anderson and Buchanan tore Exeter to shreds and that was the first time I thought we could be on our way to the first promotion I'd seen in thirteen years of supporting the club.

Oh yes what legends remember Alston shooting straight from kick off against Brighton where their keeper Mellor ran into the post trying to save it. We lost a really one sided game how I don't know !

Off the top of my head though it was the first round not third? We beat Wycombe in the second round, and Southend in the third. Can't remember who we lost to eventually though, possibly Orient?

Just checked it. We beat Orient in Round 3 and lost to Southend in the 4th round. I wasn't far off !!

Saw both games, I seem to remember Tosh shoulder barging the keeper for one of the goals.
