Interesting stats.
How does Junior compare, as another No 10 option? Or is it not possible to compare given that they are playing in different parts of the pitch most of the time?

I'm looking at our team stats for this season.
Key passes - Tomlin top of the pile but Ralls is second.
Similar pass success rate.
Tomlin - top scorer. Ralls - second top scorer.
Weighs in with a good shot accuracy rate and is less likely to have a bad touch than Tomlin.
He's also a player who likes a shot from outside the box and is reasonably useful at them.
With Pack and Vaulks behind him, could he be more of a playmaker who gets forward and can score goals?

He's got a better pass completion rate than Ralls. Has been less willing to have a go at goal than Ralls, though that might be the defensive work he puts in.
Stats wise, he's another candidate. My only slight concern with Hoilett in the middle is him being a link, someone who can be a bit of a playmaker as well. I genuinely don't know. It's a thought. One that has raised my eyebrows.
Not sure the thread header is entirely appropriate.😀
I want Ralls In my side, but not as no10.
Junior best suited for that imo.
Has Ralls got a big one?
Sounds painful
I was thinking the same thing. Really hope we go with Ralls there. I think he can do a job.
The only realistic option to fill Tomlin's position is Josh Murphy. Failing that it would need to be Gavin Whyte.

Ralls deep.
You know he'll just stick Pato there
Let's be honest, those of us who have wanted to see us playing more football are perhaps going to have to accept that, especially without Tomlin, this squad is not capable of picking defences apart with their precise passing. What is different under Neil Harris is that we have something of a counterattacking threat away from home, but, more often that not, the "killer" pass has been played by Tomlin.
At home however, I see no difference between Warnock and Harris when it comes to creating chances in open play and this is with an on form Tomlin in our ranks - in most of our recent home league games, our opponents have known that if they keep us quiet from set pieces there is a very good chance they won't concede.
For me, Joe Ralls is the best suited out of our specialist central midfield players to operate in a number ten role, but, given the personnel available and the strengths and weaknesses of the squad we'll have to go with for the foreseeable future, maybe Paterson is the best option.
More of a flat 3 with Ralls getting forward, rather than him playing the same role for me.
I think junior or Murphy are the best players to fill Tomlin's hole.
All stems from the lamentable failure pre season to bring in a quality central midfielder with pace, drive and creativity.
Tomlin shouldn’t be expected to be the sole fulcrum of the side.
Then to compound the neglect Harris fails to land a like for like player to compete with and/or complement Tomlin.
Our season was probably over after drawing v Wigan but definitely over once Tomlin was injured.
