Zorro taking the corners for Brentford
Stone waller for them
These continued long throws are pointless and frustrating
Expected defeat but still disappointing.
3 defeats in 4 now
incomiiiiiiing
Been saying for a few weeks that Smithies needed replacing. He has cost us several goals in recent games.
The sooner that Moore gets back the better.
Not helping that the Jacks continue to keep winning
We couldn't cope with their passing and movement when they stepped it up a gear in the second half.
Glatzel weak in our box for one of the goals, should have cleared it a few seconds before they scored, then muscled off the ball easily on the edge of their box, within seconds it was in the back of our net again. Unfortunately he just can’t cut it, for a big lump he’s just no outlet in games like these where holding it up and being strong is required.
Well that was massively frustrating. Good days for Morrison, Vaulks, Bennett and...Murphy? Horrible conditions to play in before conceding three poor goals so must have felt even worse afterwards.
One more game in this horrible December then, and this is not my usual opinion but needs must, the FA Cup weekend in sight to give some of our players a bit of a rest.
Another non-performance by Harry Wilson as a number 10, but Mark Harris barely touched the ball when he was on the pitch, so I have no idea what formation we should play in our next game.
There was no mediocrity, we were just plan poor, in the first half we played a high line and tried to stop Brentford from playing. We had no attacking plan but scored a wonder goal from our own half. Second half we were taken apart by a far superior team as we clearly run out of steam. We are 12th in the table and with quality of players we have that would be a decent finish. I
Beaten by a better team, but again I feel like we could have got more out of it. I think Moore would have made a big difference.
The referee was appalling (for both teams).
Hardly a surprise.
Brentford are a well run football club with a long term plan that’s now seeing their patience and hard work rewarded with a fantastic team with a clear identity and one that looks like it’s going places.
We meanwhile will bounce from manager to manager with no proper structure in place and a transfer committee that isn’t fit for purpose yet we wonder why we are not competing with the well run clubs in the division.
Not an unexpected result.
We invariably get turned over by the better teams.
I'll leave it at that as arguing the toss on here doesn't change anything. I still think Harris falls short on his ultimate goal of promotion regardless of how long he is here, is tactically naive and has no plan B and ultimately is like a Warnock style without knocking over a few of the big boys regularly enough and being weaker defensively.
Cue some of the usual suspects commencing the name calling and telling those that dare question Harris that he is building something and has a grand plan.
We seem to be the club that helps rivals advance
We need to start building for next season now.
That means starting to clear out players who are either not up to it or are ageing with no long term future.
We need 2 good windows.
