slightly less underwhelming than Harris appointment
Will be a short term appointment till end of season.
Without a doubt our worst moment footballing wise since we got promoted in 2003. What an embarrassing display of a total lack of ambition. Anyone defending the board and justifying it as a 'avoid relegation appointment', give your heads a wobble.
This is same old gutless, boring, ambitionless, circus club Cardiff City. What a pathetic, pathetic appointment.
People keep on saying that, but I've yet to see a link confirming it, there's nothing about it here;-

FFS!!!!!!!
Two more years of route1 football until he's sacked then!
If it’s true, then:
1. Jesus wept
2. It endorses Bellamy’s comments about the club not being willing to give someone time to embed a philosophy.
It smacks of the same short term view that led to Warnock.
Not exactly progressive, is it.
Just give us a Director of Football!
I like Mick but not sure I want him as our manager.
I think he’ll be an improvement on Harris but it does seem like more short termism from the board.
I don't know why they can't see we need a long term plan.
Better than Harris no doubt but unless it's until the end of the season then terrible decision.
Cardiff City, where has been managers go to die
Not sure what to think.
If you didn't know better you'd think our board were on the wind up.
I wait for MD or Choo to tell us how we're going in another direction.
Behave! There is no positive spin to put on this piling steam of Scheisse.
Could we be using the Mick story to lure in a good manager? we aren't doing that are we
Hope you’re all excited for the progressive football we hounded out Harris for
Grass isn’t always greener
I think this is a realistic appointment in the circumstances. The ship needs to be steadied before a younger manager is brought in.
Please this cannot be true.
We're going to know a lot more about the club's future plans from:
- MM first couple of interviews
- what the board says when announcing him
- what happens in the summer: whether MM stays on and what new players are brought in
- (if he stays on, how things progress next year)
No need to judge just on the name being announced.
F*cking hell
Not my choice, but it depends on how long the contract is. If it's not just until the end of the season then it's worse than we thought with those idiots at the club. Mccarthy was decent in the transfer market at wolves, especially at bringing lower level players in and getting a tune out of them, although that was years ago.
