Just out of interest, I went on their website, and there is a link on there to check whether or not your vehicle would be charged. So, I checked my own car. I drive a 2008 Audi A5 petrol, and according to the site, I would not be charged - nor in any of the many other 'Clean Air Zones' around the UK. I was quite surprised by this - I mean, it's a nice car and all that, but it's still 14 years old, and I thought it would get hit with a fee. But no - under the current rules, it would not be charged.
The OP says he has a 4 year old Peugeot, yet he got charged. I wonder if it's a diesel? Are these areas hitting diesel drivers the most?
