I can answer my own question now. 844 which is excellent in that division.

Beat Sholing 2-1 today. 5 wins from 5. And top of the tree. Not sure what the attendance up there was if anyone knows.

Not bad considering that when Paul / Smudge took over they’d just been relegated (then reprieved) and had no players. He’s an excellent manager and ultimately deserves a job higher up.
Wales’ only Non league (England) team now.
Didn’t realise they had had such a good start. Had a good cup run last year didn’t they?
What’s the league above? National League South is it?
They must have one of the biggest grounds at that level.
Are Hereford in the same division ?
Bit of a local Derby with the farmers and squaddies
6 from 6 after a 3-0 win in Swindon today. Apparently they took close on 300 fans away today.
Joe Keeping and Tana Jones both signed for Merthyr after being released in May
Not strictly true, half the players in PMs first season were re-signed from the previous season and he brought the other half in.
He certainly had more of a budget than the previous season when it was really starting from scratch as they had a year off because of covid.
That said they really are playing some great stuff at the moment, creating loads of chances and there’s a real buzz about the place continued on from their good work last season. Long May it last.
Next two home league games against Chesham and Gosport who are in 3rd and 2nd and haven’t dropped many points themselves. I’ll be amazed if we don’t get north of 1000 for those games.
Ive long thought Merthyr are a sleeping giant in terms of non-legaue football. There's no reason for them not to have serious ambitions to reach the conference or higher, although they would need to revert to a grass pitch in that case.
Great to see them getting big crowds which at that level can make an enormous difference
He clearly looks to a higher level for inspiration. The football being played is a joy to watch and this season he’s got one of the defenders joining in midfield to make an extra man ala John Stones at Man City last season. If Merthyr can somehow hold into this management team and players there’s no reason can’t go up this year but wages on offer will always be dwarfed elsewhere whilst fan owned.
