You always seem to have these "woke" work anecdotes that go against statistics or common sense. I recall you saying that some of London's worst areas for crime statisticlly, were lovely places. Lol
Perhaps you're very lucky but my experience of travellers(lived by a family) is that they're very rough, prone to violence, fly tipping and general anti social behaviour. I'm not saying they should be forced to forego their lifestyle and conform but they should obey the law and people shouldn't be forced to serve them either.

I'm bracing myself :hehe: Honest mate, i do Rover Way and Shirenewton, the blokes are sound to me. They always want something, like a bit of paint, silicone etc, but that's it. The Jack Russell Terriers are the biggest problem as they live outside (gypsies wont have animals in their home) and they get a bit lively. Apart from that, it's no bother :thumbup:

Difficult one this isn't it. We all know that if they didn't book it because they are travellers that is absolutely wrong and plainly discrimination. If it was because they didn't want the booking because they rarely do parties, or stopped doing parties or they had reason to believe the specific individual would cause trouble then it's different, but one assumes from the decision that that wasn't the case.

Interested to see what hypocrisy is incoming from those who acted like it was the end of times when Farage lost his bank account.

On the face of it these things always seem a bit bonkers until you are the one affected. If a gay pub kicked me out for being straight, I would probably be a bit annoyed.

A gay friend of mine was kicked out of a gay bar as they didnt believe he was gay, he was there with 2 lesbian friends - and the owner / manager took offence to him.

Wasnt there a case in Ireland when a wedding cake business refused to do one for a gay couple ? - it went to court and if I remember - the business won.

Yes - I referred to it at #7

The business 'won' on in the Supreme Court (after losing in lower courts) because they decided it was about the icing sugar message not the sexuality of the customers. It has caused a lot of confusion about the law and how it should be interpreted. The arguments are still going on. In some ways it is a very untypical case because it finally centred on the decoration of a cake - not the person ordering it.

The European Court dismissed an appeal on jurisdictional grounds.
