1. It seems perfectly normal for big clubs to poach/get youngsters from clubs further down the food chain.
What are the rules in place covering this?
2. Does the smaller club losing a player get any fee or recompense?
3. What are the practical and rule differences between say Man. City's academy and ours?
4. What would it cost for City to build an academy to the same level as Man. City and would it really be worthwhile for a club our size to do this?

Costs for each level will be variable according to location, quality of facilities and what staff are paid.
As I understand it currently a Cat one Academy is likely to cost between 4 and 5 million per year to operate, while a Cat three Academy will be 1 to 1.5 million. Cat two somewhere in the middle.
