Is that to stop Greater Manchester Police kicking you in the head, or just to minimise the damage if they do?

That WPC that had her nose broken in the line of duty should have taken your advice.

Three want to hospital, as Burnham said there is a lot to consider in the review, exactly what happened will come out in the end, the initial video that came out although quite shocking is only part of the story.

The thing people look at though is the'excessive force'. Whatever has occurred then once the officer has subdued the assailant (in this case) he has a duty of care. Just like if an armed officer shoots someone his immediate action should be to give medical aid and preserve life.
Bottom line is what the hell must the officer been thinking doing that in the knowledge that almost every person watching it has a video camera in their pocket. The police officer's stupidity beggars belief.

It's pretty damning footage, not just the kick but then the stamp afterwards.

So much good is done by the police in this country but alongside getting the best recruits they absolutely need better training, initially and continued.

The family of a man who was kicked and stamped on by a police officer at Manchester Airport have been left "traumatised", a solicitor representing them has said.

Akhmed Yakoob was speaking on behalf of brothers Muhammad Fahir Amaaz and Amaad Amaaz, who were both involved in the incident.

Mr Yakoob said the medical condition of the man who was kicked, who he named as Fahir Amaaz, had worsened overnight and "a CT scan has revealed there is a cyst on his brain".

The solicitor also revealed the brothers are family members of a serving Greater Manchester Police officer.

Was pretty brutal. Mind you, after watching colleagues get attacked I can understand why he saw red.

The stamp is what takes it into quite extreme territory. The press being given to these scumbags is shocking though. Punch a woman copper then act the victim, scum is the only word.

Might help if the gentleman concerned had brought his hand out from underneath his body like the police were requesting him to do so. He had already punched several police officers, including breaking the nose of a wpc and tried to steal police handguns, if other witnesses are to be believed. He was resisting arrest, as he was on the police wanted list allegedly. I am not a fan of the police (cue jokes about how shite Sting & Co are!) but in this instance immediate action was needed. If the gentleman concerned had gone quietly with the police as he was asked to do so, then his booting in the head and being stamped on could have been avoided. If the police request you to go with them, you do so. Simples really.

Of course, on Twitter and the rest of social media, all you see is the copper kicking and stamping and not the full picture.

Or stop fanatics bombing Manchester Arena and police attended that gruesome scene if dead children...

Of course the individual went over board, what triggered such a response is perhaps the question one should seek.

This type of zero tolerance policing is seen right across Europe.

Those individuals did something fairly serious.

This is typical media social media frenzy, whilst a soldier gets stabbed by lack guy we are more concerned about this incident.

There is no point in having any rules or training if this sort of thing isn't going to be dealt with

We can't have someone dishing out their own form of justice or punishment

You can't stamp on someone's head and kick them in the head like that if you have weapons , cuffs and other officers backing you up

It's no good saying society is a cesspit as so many do and then wave away criminal assault

Maybe we should be concerned about both.

One is apparently a non-terrorist incident by someone with a screw loose.

The other was a non-terrorist incident by someone who attacked a soldier!

The copper is a disgrace to the force.

Strange how the footage of Plod kicking and stamping has been posted on social media, but no footage of the female officer getting her nose broken by one of the perpetrators.

    Legal reasons possibly

Either way smacking a copper in the face .....unless they are trying to give you a leathering for no reason ....is clearly a no no

But so is handing out a beating to someone on the floor who appears subdued

He could have been close to a knife who knows hopefully the truth will come out

The main officer lost it, and he hit the other bloke with a taser after that, maybe he was close to the female officer with a broken nose, or maybe he received a few punches himself.

A couple of MPs have come in arguing for either side, I stick with Andy Burnhams conclusion that there is more to this than the video released and it should be left to the police to review through the IOPC, they will see the previous incident through the body cams and CCTV.

Maybe there is no footage of the female officer getting her nose broken other than that recorded by the police bodycams?

I'm guessing bystanders only started videoing this incident when it fully kicked off.
