    Dead Pets

What's the done thing when a pet dies? Do you take the corpse to a vet or does the council, or someone, collect it?

Unfortunately my garden isn't suitable. It's a small paved courtyard sort of thing.

If you started digging up your patio it would get the neighbours talking.

I used to live in a village where permission had to be sought in order to dig deeper than nine inches in the garden and due to Anglo-Saxon burials.
I can't imagine how future generations will react to finding the remnants of our favourite pooches, pussies and parrots when they are planting a pyracantha, peony or pelargonium.

I'm not sure but I think Dickens wrote a book about deceased Burmese cats.

Going back to the original question, what should I do with a corpse if I can't bury it in my garden?

Don't know about societies, but I'm sure there is a gang of New York that would welcome new members.

You are obviously oblivious to the meaning of quotation marks.
