Thread: That referee today.......Ben Speedie

    That referee today.......Ben Speedie

Sadly our relegation to League 1 comes with a Government Officials Warning.

Dropping down a league from the Championship, means that we're faced with an even worst set of officials in our matches, than we've had for the past 22 years. Even they were bad enough but today, at times, it seemed we were playing against 12 men.

Did anyone else think the ref & his sidekicks were poor today?

I'm afraid we're going to have to get used to it.🤦*♂️🤦*♂️🤦*♂️

I thought the officials had a good game.
All our misfortunes today were down to our own doing. All fans of all clubs find it hard to admit that sometimes . I know you can have plenty of unfair decisions through out a season, but today we can’t blame anyone but ourselves. IMO.

The ref could have easily sent Lawlor off, and given the penalty against Fish.

Given that, I don't see how on Earth anyone can think we were the victim

I thought he was rubbish. That wasn’t a penalty in a month of Sundays. But I thought better of giving the linesman on the Ninian Stand end grief as he didn’t half look like he’d been on the roids!

    Can't complain about the officials.

    It was a penalty.

I also thought he was poor, especially in the wrestling matches and the bookings. Their #23 should/could have been booked 4 times. Their one Lino on the Ninian side was unfit and often behind play.

If it wasn't a penalty, Lawlor would 100% have been sent off

I thought he got both of those big decisions wrong and he was crap overall.

It's an absolute stonewaller. Watching the game back, all of the Sky pundits thought so too

It wasn’t a penalty and Lawlor should have received a second yellow card.

The ref was appalling and didn’t even attempt to appear impartial. They knew they only had to go to ground and on every occasion they had the free kick. Fish looks like he won the ball but either way it was a very soft decision.

We've had worse officials, I'd give him 5 out of 10.
