Self inflicted, we passed back to our keeper for 40 minutes in the second half

Abysmal play absolutely shocking. But typical of the play stopping slowing down and passing.

His mistake but we've gifted them this game over 90 minutes.

Also the only play who did anything with the ball in the entire game but yeah that was sloppy and a poor decision.

    Never threatened their goal.

Another shocking pass handing them the chance to counter.

    We didn’t deserve to win.
Too many errors, some poor individual performances and still no threat to the opponents goal.

I don't get what BBM is playing at continuing with Turnbull in midfield, he offers nothing going forward and even less in defence, he just slows the game down. Twice he's gone to 442 and direct against Orient and Reading and twice it's got results, why didn't he do it again?

It just smacks of being stubborn.

WTF.Never tried to win. All sideways and backwards.
Stupid pass by the City player.

He’s been appalling but a mirror of our general display. If Riza had been in charge we would be at boiling point with that. Neither side deserved a point. If I’d travelled up there I’d be fuming at what I’d seen.

Got what the performance deserved. Not one attempt on target- you deserve to lose the game.

And yet you see during stoppages of play, BBM constantly calling Turnbull over to give instructions - like he's our midfield general

Just so sloppy. They play like they haven't got a manager to give them a b******g. I've seen some dreadful City sides over the past 6 decades, but never seen a side as sloppy and careless as these group. Losing possession when not even under pressure so many times. I've said it before and I'll say it again. BBM may be a good coach but he isn't a manager.

He looks like one of these new breed who looks for a foul before attempting anything positive and as sloppy as Osho.

Presumably telling him off for moving the ball slightly too quickly.

Don't think I've seen a weaker player than Nyakuwa. Not good enough for this level. Needs a loan and a weights session.

Nyakuhwa is a very Jekyll and Hyde player. On his day very good, but can also be responsible for some awful mistakes.

Back in the car after the game. Bolton didn’t try to win that game and neither did we. It only opened up in the 4 minutes of injury time. A very dull watch in the stadium, probably even worse on the box . It’s all well and good controlling possession but what’s the point if you don’t have one shot on target in 90 minutes! It was bloody freezing in the stadium too

Re: FT: BOLTON 1 - 0 CARDIFF. Match thread

Was a mistake to bench our most creative player in Kpakio, which tells you everything at the moment.

I'm confident we can control possession in most matches and there are times where that's more than useful but we badly need to realise we aren't prime Barca.

So many times we eventually work the ball out wide and then go back. Around the box we need to be about 5 times quicker and sometimes it may pay to just get the ball into the ****ing mixer.

Bolton were ok and we didn't have a single shot on target, I barely remember a shot in general.

With the sloppy weak passes at times too. Just wake the **** up.

One positive, I thought again Fish and Lawlor showed a calmness at centre half that we just miss when they aren't playing.

Re: FT: BOLTON 1 - 0 CARDIFF. Match thread

BBM said afterthe game, some of it was okay but I didn’t t see much that was okay, watching athome. Why didn’t Nyakuhwagoforward and take the ball in towards the corner flag rather than come inside and give the ball away. It’s really disappointing that we were top of the league yet didn’t get one shot on target. Why was Kpakio on the bench ? I think we need some some consistency in team selection rather than changing the team every game.

4 efforts on goal, 0 on target despite 62% possession. This is what Rochdale fans warned about and BBM said he'd learned from. Needs to show that he has.
