We definitely missed Kellaway in our last two games and I think it’s fair to say that we wouldn’t have gone up were it not for Kellaway and Tribe. It’s criminal that Kiran Carlson has no recognition from the England selectors for his good form over a number of years, yet it also re-emphasizes how good Kellaway and Tribe have had to be to get selected - congratulations to both of them.

West Indies all out for 83... against Nepal!

They're 2-0 down in the 3 match T20 series, and were all out for 27 in a test match against Australia in the summer. Dark days for Windies cricket.

'Good news from Perth' wasn't something I was expecting to post on here but Ben Kellaway top scored with 59 in the Lions second innings against a Cricket Australia XI today. With Bethell, Jacks and Cox in there too that seems decent.

It's one of those 15 man team games that I don't really get but no sign of Asa Tribe. Maybe he's given up on England after yesterday and decided to stick with Jersey.

Good news about Kellaway, although the fact 59 was the top score for the Lions suggests their attitude towards batting is the same as the test sides - it was disappointing that he and Tribe played no part in that practice game which clearly left England in an ideal position going into the first test.

Maybe Tribe's replacling Crawley at Brisbane he said not altogether seriously.

    Re: GLAMMY

Asa Tribe got 53 not out to see the Lions home with James Rew in their 2 day game against the Prime Minister's XI today. The game didn't sound too intense but nice to see Asa play a part in the win. Ben Kellaway was due in next.

The Lions doing a passable England impression, bowled out for 166 - Tribe (batting at number five) got 17, Kellaway 2.

England Lions quickly bowled out to lose by an innings on the final day, but Tribe remained not out on 129 - I wonder if anyone at the top of the England test team set up noticed?

Dont be daft. They look down the scorecard until they see Bethel's name, then look no further.

Simon Mann of TMS mentioned him on the Podcast he does with Simon Hughes. He said he had watched Tribe in the two day pink ball game In Canberra last week and was impressed with the time he had to play his shots - apart from that, I’ve not heard Tribe’s name mentioned on any of the podcasts I’ve watched.

England might not be taking much notice, but at least we get to enjoy him for another three years:

Excellent news. On the basis that the England top 7 continue to implode what’s the chances of him sneaking a go at the top of the order for the 5th test. Stranger things…….

I was actually thinking that myself, but I believe he's already signed up to play in the South African T20 during the fourth and fifth tests (unless he's joining up with them later?)

Surely he’d change that if there was a sniff?

Just seen that Hugh Morris has passed away. Been ill for quite a while. Superb opening batsman when Glamorgan were a major force. RIP Hugh.

Was the driving force in bringing Ashes Test cricket to Cardiff and also worked tirelessly towards the redevelopment of Sophia Gardens.

    St Helens suffered mind you.
