Back on sale? The renewal period isn't up yet is it?

There was a week where existing season ticket holders could move seats. They were off sale during that period.

So that means 2,500 haven't renewed?

i hope not....i read it as we sold 13500 in total last season, and so far we've sold 11,000. I hope I'm right

Indeed. So, according to Mozzer, we ended the season with 13,500 season ticket holders. According to Mike, we now have 11,000 season tickets holders.

    13,500 - 11,000 = .....

I think people can still renew for two more weeks. Otherwise it sounded like a big drop off rate

    is 2500. we agree.

my point was that 13500 might be the total number of season tickets sold last season, whereas 11,000 is the total number sold so far this season and might not be the end number.

The deadline for reserving your seat has passed. I think they go back on sale to everyone at early bird prices for a couple of weeks, and then it's full prices from then on.

I'm surprised that 2,500 of last season's season ticket holders apparently haven't renewed so far. Pretty sure everyone I know personally who has a season ticket has renewed. I know of two guys who sit in the row behind me who were apparently not going to renew (and I'm hoping and praying that's the case), but that's all.

the club put out a statement this time last year we sold around 5,000 season ticket holders
by the end of June last season they put out a statement just over 10,000 season tickets had been sold at that point
the club didn't put out a statement just ahead of the season but someone mentioned it maybe corky was just over 13,000 had been sold

i,m not sure if the final figure of around 13500 included the half season tickets that the club sell around xmas time maybe someone could clarify

think around 15000 could be a realistic figure this time around

Of course. So, apparently 2,500 haven't renewed so far. And that surprises me.

I take that as a positive with 11 weeks or so until the start of the new season

Really? I don't believe that. I recall the renewal figures being much more encouraging. 5,000 would have been really disappointing. Pretty sure that would have got more attention.

Ah I see, yeah I am also surprised in that case. I guess the reality is some will want to move and some will just pick somewhere else within the early bird price window, but yeah that does seem like a low retention rate to me

Fair enough. That was a pretty poor figure at that stage. I’ve got a feeling the renewal window was a bit later last season. After all, we didn’t even have a manager at this stage last year. Even so, 5,000 was a low figure.

Im surprised as well, unless its a case of waiting for the end of month.

    It does seem odd

Just had a look at my e-mails from last year. The renewal deadline to keep your seat was Monday 2nd June. I renewed my season ticket on 1st June.

This year, season tickets went on sale much earlier. Pretty sure the deadline to keep your seat was Tuesday 5th May after the Bank Holiday.

Some people need a couple of pay days to sort and can’t renew in the first window. It is the same most seasons

That’s good numbers imo, we’re still nearly 3 months away from the new season starting. Would be nice to be getting ~21k most games, that’s when the stadium starts feeling “full”

But we had just been relegated (finally) after a few miserable seasons. This year we were promoted having played some of the best football we've seen in a very long time. I was hoping we could sell about 17000 by the star t of the season.

People are reading and hearing about an incoming series of price rises as a result of the Iran war and are maybe thinking that they’ll struggle to justify a season ticket - maybe things will be clearer in a couple of months time?
