Semi automated offside technology failed for the penalty, FIFA have released a blurry screenshot showing the lines drawn to show it was onside but you can't see where the ball is, fooling absolutely nobody.

Apparently the refs have been told to back off on the red cards. That foul at the end was far worse than the second two in the Mexico game and an obvious sending off, studs up and significant contact on the knee.
Great win for Australia. 2-0. They looked pretty good too.
Apart from the controversial incidents, I thought that game was a good cure for insomnia.
