What if some bonkers extreme right-wing party wins the next election and starts quietly slipping laws through parliament that suddenly retroactively makes you a criminal for something that was once perfectly legal?

What if a group of people want to organise a protest but find themselves getting rounded up by the police because of some emails they wrote now contravene some new law regarding speaking ill of the state?

so do the security services stop surveillance on groups that are a threat to our security? whats your solution in these dangerous times

The biggest dangers I see are coming from the very same people who are surveilling us - Russia, USA, China, GB, Israel etc.
