  • 25% of EFL players will not take a Covid vaccine!

These morons must be amongst the most selfish people on the planet. Some are earning the type of money that many of us can only dream of notwithstanding that many are employed by clubs that are financially insolvent and yet they cock a snook at the well being of their fellow professionals, the well being of their clubs and the unmerited adulation of many of their fans by leaving themselves open to Covid. Shame on these imbeciles. Clubs should make public the names of these
    inadequate members of our communities.

Although it would never be made public, it would be interesting to know whether the 25% have relatives living in the UK.

Some may be living in the UK alone or with a partner. They may not have any dependents. They may not be under the same pressure as players who have contact with relatives.

64 nations are represented in the Premier league.

36.1% are English (unsure what the British % is)

What happened to free will and choice? They're the ones that are less protected so leave them to it.

Fabulous point made on the radio earlier.

Make vaccination / double jabbed / booster as part of contract renewals or new contract terms.

See how quick these prima donnas get their vaccines because if they don't they are not employed or miss out on a lucrative contract.

your first sentence is entirely accurate. The amount they earn is irrelevant. This has nothing to do with money whatsoever.

It's just a fact that young people think they are smarter than they are; and are increasingly under pressure to prove that they are independent thinkers. Personally I believe that footballers are, on average, pretty intellegent, pretty decent people. They just happen to be in their early 20s.

One of them will soon be a herman cain award winner and then things will rapidly change. But linking this to what they get paid is a bit daft really. Young people do stupid shit, and the vast majority of football players are young people. Yes its selfish and yes it's stupid. But it's just youth. That's all.

thats taken from the UK health security agency Covid-19 vaccine surveillance report up to week 50 (December 12 )

thought our health secretary was telling us up to a 5'th of the population ?

You’re including the entire population with those numbers including new born babies and people ineligible for the vaccine.

89% of eligible people have had 1 dose and 82% have had 2 doses so the “1/5th” comment will be referring to people without a 2nd dose.

Worse than all this, three words: Aaron. Rodgers. Twat.

You only have to look how quickly Joshua Kimmich changed his mind after getting Covid.

And learning he wouldn’t get paid for isolating any more.

Players seem to think the vaccine will affect their fitness but unvaccinated Covid can properly **** their lungs for months.

So impressive these professional footballers are spending their spare time studying epidemiology, virology, vaccinology and public health medicine and putting the epidemiologists, virologists, vaccinologists and public health specialists on the Joint Committee on Vaccinations and Immunisations in their place.

Seriously how terminally stupid are these morons?

Barney Ronay's piece in The Guardian this morning was poor IMO (I'm not a fan of his writing at the best of times) and I think the piece rambles and lacks focus. He makes some good points but sums it up poorly. Just my op.

Footballers, the Covid vaccinations and performative scolding

The new variant is able to bypass antibodies to infect people with a 20 to 40 fold reduction on what the vaccines did for delta. Double jabbed people are spreading it like crazy at the moment.

Name and shame. Mandatory vaccines. No, enough freedoms have been taken, most of which we will never get back fully. How about we continue to encourage and educate instead. If we take our 3rd dose we apparently should be fine anyway.

I think if 75% of footballers have said they have or will get jabbed then that's a success. These are among the healthiest and fitters around, they are mostly not taking the jab to protect themselves. We were never going to get 100% of any age group to take it up.

Steve Gerrard said recently that whether a player has been vaccinated or not would inevitably come into the decision process when signing players in January.

Jurgen Klopp seems to have the right approach. It is hard to agree with any alternative view, I’m afraid.

                            Is that even legal?

Imagine if your employer made a demand like that.

Has anyone read the nonsense and the stuff Mat Le Tissier is spreading on Twitter about the vaccine. People like this are half the problem.
