Three good points, but Birmingham were dreadful.
We definitely lost something in midfield when Sawyers went off - Colwill has the skill to lay on some great passes, but he doesn't have the same work rate.

Why is it that for some people anyone we beat must by definition be "dreadful"?

Able to remember and share what he said?

Just about how they had a plan in the wide areas and to double up on their wing backs. Made a point of saying how pleased he was with the clean sheet. Said no signings in the pipeline but if someone becomes available they will look at it. I do think he’s gets a bit nervous in interviews, doesn’t seem natural but still interesting.

Was thinking the same. They beat Huddersfield and drew away to Luton (who a lot of people fancy). We MADE them look bad because we dominated.

I can't fault much with that performance, other that not scoring more goals. Once again I thought Collins was outstanding, we looked like we could get in behind them down the left every time, him and Philogene look like they could be a real partnership.

Love to see Wintles stats between halves. First half everything went through him & we were in control. Second half he was anonymous, their change of formation took him out of the game. Still the best midfield we’ve had in over a decade.

This is just totally wrong. Wintle ran the midfield from start to finish. Best player on pitch by a country mile again. How you can say that any of our team was ‘anonymous’ after that performance in 35 degree heat is beyond me.

It is also worth remembering that these players are just getting to know each other....strengths...weaknesses etc. You have to give credit to SM in getting these players in - and when they finally gel - and with the addition of a goal scorer (easier said than done....) we will be a force to contend with this season.
My glass is actually two thirds full.....

Is 1-0 ever easy? I was really nervous for the last 15 minutes and was mortified when I heard there were 6 minutes of injury time.
